NCC Commences Pre-Enforcement Action On Starlink Over Price Hike

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, said it commenced pre-enforcement action on the licensee of Starlink on the 3rd of October, 2024.

The Commission said its action followed th decision by Starlink to unilaterally review its subscription packages upwards which did not receive the approval of the NCC.

A statement by Mr Reuben Mouka, Director of Public Affairs of the NCC, said that the action of Starlink was in contravention of Sections 108 and 111 of the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA), 2003, and Starlink’s Licence Conditions regarding tariffs.
