…Free 86 captives, nab 29 terror aides
In what appeared a calculated and decisive move, troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have carried out a coordinated offensives against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Borno State during which they rescued 86 kidnapped victims.
The troops also arrested 29 suspected logistics suppliers for the terrorists during the operation conducted by the 135 Special Forces Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK on Sunday, November 9, 2025, along the Buratai–Kamuya Road, where Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters attempted to abduct civilians and seize vehicles.
It was gathered that the troops acting on intelligence, quickly intercepted and overpowered the insurgents close to Dutse Kura, thereby forced them to flee towards Mangari.
However, a follow-up clearance operation led to the destruction of 11 makeshift terrorist structures and the liberation of men, women, and children held hostage in the camp.
Items recovered during the operations included an AK-47 rifle, five magazines with 73 rounds, four PKT ammunition belts, five civilian vehicles, five motorcycles, eight bicycles, and two logistics tricycles.
The gallant troops also successfully razed the hideout of the terrorists.
Similarly, troops stationed at Mangada area successfuly arrested 29 persons suspected of supplying logistics to terrorist groups en route to Chilaria.

Items that were confiscated included two pickup trucks, a tricycle, and about 1,000 litres of petrol, engine oil, gun truck tyres, medical supplies, and food provisions which were believed to have sustained the terrorists’ operations in the area.
A dependable source close to the military high command confirmed that the operation was successfully executed without any casualty on the part of the troops, describing the development as “a model of precision and tactical efficiency”.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for Operation Hadin Kai said that the operations underscore the resolve of the military to deny terrorists freedom of action and restore lasting peace in the North East.
Lt. Col. Uba further said that the latest success added to a string of counter-terrorism gains by Nigerian Armed forces in tightening the noose around Boko Haram and ISWAP remnants who continue to suffer heavy losses in both manpower and logistics across the region.
