U.S. Court Orders CSU To Release Tinubu’s Academic Records To Atiku
The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has ordered Chicago State University to release the academic records of Bola Tinubu to Atiku Abubakar.
The court while turning down Tinubu’s objection, specifically directed Chicago State University to release all privileged and non-privileged information about Bola Tinubu to Atiku Abubakar latest by Monday, October 2, 2023.
The court order implied that the details of Tinubu’s admission, studentship, gender, citizenship and other relevant information related to whoever Bola Tinubu was Chicago State University will be released to Atiku for reproduction.
The Court also cautioned Tinubu that it would no longer entertain any request for an appeal or for a stay of execution of its order.
The trial judge of the Court, Nancy Maldonado in a memorandum opinion and order overruled Tinubu’s objections to the application filed by Atiku Abubakar, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election.
Atiku approached the Court and sought for an order to compel Chicago State University to release of the academic records of Bola Tinubu.
It is however not clear if Atiku has the intention of using the records of Tinubu’s academic records from the Chicago State University as part of the appeal he file at the Supreme Court as he has until 5pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 to file in view of the fact the filing deadline for the apex court.
