Unknown Gunmen Abduct Taraba State Lawmaker
Dare devil gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday, December 9, 2020, abducted Hon. Bashir Mohammed, member representing Nguroje Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly.
A family source who preferred anonymity said Mohammed, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Information, was picked up from his residence behind Dr. Jalo Eid prayer ground in Jalingo at about 1:45 am.
The source explained that during the operation which lasted for about three hours, there was no attempt by any of the security agencies to either prevent the kidnap or stop it.
The Taraba State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.
