The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, has described the installation and presentation of the Staff of Office to His Royal Highness, Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku Mari (retd.), by the Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, as a well-deserved honour for a distinguished jurist, statesman and community leader whose life has been devoted to the service of humanity and the advancement of justice.
Dr. Tsenyil while felicitating with Justice Alaku Mari retd) on behalf of the Governing Board, Management and Staff of the Commission, noted that the emergence of the former Chief Judge of Nasarawa State as the Aren Eggon comes at a critical period when traditional institutions are expected to play greater roles in promoting peace, unity, security and development within their domains and beyond.
The MD NDCD rejoiced with the royal father and prayed for a successful, peaceful and impactful reign, and assured him of the determination of the Commission to strengthen partnership and collaboration with traditional institutions across the region.
Tsenyil said that the NCDC remains committed to supporting initiatives that will enhance the capacity of traditional rulers to facilitate development and address challenges that hinder the socio-economic progress of their communities.
The NCDC Chief Executive expressed confidence that the vast experience, wisdom and integrity acquired by Justice Mari during his illustrious career in the judiciary will be brought to bear in promoting unity, peace, justice, equity and fairness among his people and throughout the North Central region.
Tsenyil prayed for God’s guidance, good health, wisdom and strength upon the Aren Eggon as he undertakes the noble responsibility of leading the Eggon Nation and contributing to national cohesion and development.
