The Department of Security Services (DSS) on Sunday declared that its operatives arrested the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Mr. Omoyele Sowore owing to the fact that he crossed the red line for calling for a #Revolution.

The DSS therefore confirmed that there is no doubt whatsoever that Sowore, who is also the Publisher of Sahara Reporters is presently in its custody but refused to disclosed if he is being kept in Abuja or Lagos..

Briefing journalists in Abuja, Spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunaya said that Sowore, crossed the red line in his call for a #Revolution over against alleged bad governance, insecurity and corruption, among other issues.
Afunaya notes that the proposed revolution march canvassed by Sowore has the potential of threatening public safety, peaceful co-existence and social harmony, stressing that as a responsible security organisation, the DSS will not just sit idly and watch any individual, group and or their cohorts to rise and threaten the peace, unity, and constitutionalism of the country.
The DSS spokesman described the proposed #Revolution as insurgency, revolt, insurrection and forceful takeover of government, stressing that Nigeria is not a banana republic and cannot be made to be one by the likes of Sowore.
Afunaya further said; “The DSS will not allow self-centered and violence-inclined persons to take law into their own hands.
“Though, there is apprehension and anxiety among citizens already, we wish to assure friends of Nigeria and other law-abiding citizens, that there will be no revolution of any kind come Monday, August 5, 2019.
“A democratically elected government is in charge, and we cannot allow any person or group to foment chaos or fan the ember of revolution.”

Forefront News gathered that security agencies in the country are particularly worried over foreign interest in the agitation for the planned #Revolution Now Protest.
