Worrisome: Gunmen Attack UniAbuja Staff Quarters, Abduct 4 Staff Members, Children

Some dare devil armed gunmen, in the early hours (at about 1:00am) of Tuesday (November 2, 2021) stormed and attacked the staff quarters of the University of Abuja located in the Giri area of the Federal Capital Territory.

This was confirmed in a statement on the University social media page, “The school social media team” which said that some safety officers of the institution in conjunction with security operatives, quickly mobilised to secure the quarters.

Forefront News gathered from reliable sources at the Staff Quarters that among those abducted by the dare devil gunmen include, Alhaji Sambo, a Deputy Registrar with the University, Professor Obansa of the Economics department with his two children, Professor Bassey popularly known as Obaskolo, whose two household members were equally taken away and another staff with the Physical Development Unit, who was mercilessly beaten up by the gunmen for trying to resists them. 

The school social media team however said that four staff members and their children were abducted by the dare evil men.

The statement further said that efforts were being made to ensure the safe return of the abducted staff and their children.
