Atiku Wins 10 LGAs, Loses Numan To Obi In Adamawa

The expected decent showing of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in Saturday’s election has continued in Adamawa State as he defeated homeboy, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge victorious in Numan Local Government Area of the State.

According to the result announced by the Collation Officer for Numan Local Government, Prof Reuben Gunnie, the Labour Party flag bearer scored a total of 10,229 votes, while Atiku placed second after amassing 8,984 votes.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Dumebi Kachikwu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) recorded 5,115 and 270 votes to come third and fourth respectively.

In the 11 Local Government Areas results so far declared by the electoral umpire, Alhaji Atiku won in 10 and lost to LP’s Obi in Numan LGA.

The results showed that the former Vice President won in Lamurde, Girei, Shelleng, Toungo, Guyuk, Ganye, and Mayo-Belwa Local Government Areas.

Other locations where the PDP flag bearer recorded victories were Song, Demsa, and Fufore Local Government Areas.

Meanwhile, results were still being awaited from 10 Local Government Councils as of the time of filing this report.
