BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has described Chief Edwin Clark as the symbol of exemplary leadership aimed at serving the Nigerian people.
In a statement signed by the President of the MBF. Dr Pogu Bitrus, the Forum described the attainment of 93 years by the Ijaw leader as a milestone and prayed earnestly to God to grant his wisdom and strengthen him.
According to the statement, “The attainment of yet another additional year to the life of Chief Edwin Clark marks another milestone to the inspiring life of a nationalist and patriot whose sterling contributions to national development remain unprecedented. As someone whose zeal for service put him on national limelight early in life, he has remained loyal to the cause of the people.
“Despite his age-long struggles against forces opposed to justice and equity to all ethnic nationalities in the Nigerian Federation, our Leader has never let go of a dream of new Nigeria committed to the progress of all citizens.
“As he celebrates this birthday, this is to wish Chief Clark many more years in good health and prosperity dedicated to the service of our nation. I pray earnestly that his dreams for a New Nigeria will be realized in his life time.”
