CONVID-19: Lagos Discharges 11 Patients As Confirmed Cases Stand At 184
BY VICTOR OSOWOCHI – Though new cases of the deadly pandemic COVID-19 are coming up daily with the confirmed figure in Nigeria now totalling 184, the good news from Lagos State as the virus’ epicentre has continued on its heartwarming trail.
According to the Lagos State Government, it has further discharged eleven (11) patients from its isolation and treatment centres having recovered fully from COVID-19 illness.
This brings the total number of recovered persons to be 20 and Governor Babajide Sanwoolu is upbeat that more patients will be treated and discharged soon to tame the pandemic spread across Nigeria.
The Lagos Chief Executive gave figures of those discharged as two (2) females and nine (9) males that have now fully recovered and tested negative of the virus.
This is as the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 10 new cases of the deadly coronavirus pandemic COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases in Nigeria to184.
Lagos State still leads the chart with 98 case in total followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 38 confirmed cases.
As at Thursday, April 2, 2020, the breakdown of COVID-19 cases across states as confirmed by NCDC indicated thus:

Kaduna – 4
Edo – 4

Total Confirmed cases – 184
The Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), NCDC, WHO and all relevant health institutions continue to insist that it is important for Nigerians to abide by the Federal Government’s directives of staying at home to check and avoid further spread of this pandemic in the country
