Mexico confirms 4,430 new cases, 91,895 deaths

The Brazilian Health Minister, Eduardo Pazuello, who is ill with COVID-19, stayed in a military hospital overnight on Sunday, after having been discharged from a civilian facility earlier in the day.
Pazuello had checked into hospital on Friday, suffering from dehydration, and left on Sunday. However, the Minister has now returned to a different hospital.
Reuters quoted the Health ministry as saying in a statement that it was “a precautionary measure”.
“Pazuello is well and stable and should stay resting until tomorrow,” the statement added.
He tested positive for Coronavirus on October 21, 2020. Roughly half of President Jair Bolsonaro’s 23-member cabinet has contracted the virus, with the President and his wife coming down with the disease in July.
Brazil has the world’s second-deadliest outbreak of COVID-19, with 160,074 people killed, second to only the United States, according to a Reuters tally.
Meanwhile, Mainland China early on Monday reported 24 new COVID-19 cases for Sunday, which was the same as a day earlier.
Reuters quoted the country’s National Health Commission as saying that 21 of the new cases were imported infections originating from overseas while three were local infections reported in the northwestern Xinjiang region.
The Commission also reported 30 new asymptomatic cases, compared with no such cases reported a day earlier.
This is as the country’s health authorities disclosed that the total number of confirmed cases in Mainland China now stands at 86,021, while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,634.
Mexico records 4,430 new cases

As reported by Reuters, the figure brings the country’s total to 929,392 cases and 91,895 deaths.
