COVID-19: Nigeria’s Figures Keep Rising, Now 542 Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said as at 10:40pm on Saturday, April 18. 2020, forty-nine (49) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country.

This development has therefore moved Nigeria’s total figure to 542 confirmed cases with 166 patients successfully treated and discharged from the isolation centres nationwide.

Also, the number of states with confirmed cases of #COVID19 has now risen to 19 and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with nineteen (19) deaths so far recorded.

According to NCDC, the 49 fresh cases are reported from six (6) states and Lagos still leads the pack with twenty-three (23) cases.

Further breakdown indicates that in tow is the FCT with twelve (12); Kano – ten (10); Ogun – two (2); Oyo and Ekiti complete the roll call with one (1) case each.
