COVID-19 Update: Nigeria’s Tally Now 981 With 108 New Cases

  • NCDC reports 31 deaths 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the numbers of  coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases have gone up by One hundred and eight (108) new cases recorded in the country.

According to its latest update as at 11:30pm on Thursday, April 23, 2020, Nigeria’s tally has now risen to 981 cases with Lagos, the epicentre responsible for 78 of the new cases.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) remains in tow with fourteen (14) cases; Five (5) in Ogun State; and Four (4) in Gombe State. Others are Borno State – three (3); Akwa Ibom State – two (2) while Kwara and Plateau States have one (1) case each.

NCDC also reported that amidst the good news of treating and discharging 197 patients, the country has regrettably recorded 31 deaths so far.
