CROSSJOF Salutes C-River First Lady, Eyoanwan Otu @ 61
- Solicits greater welfare interventions for Women, Children
BY EDMOND ODOK – Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF) in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has congratulated the State First Lady, Bishop (Mrs) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, on the occasion of her 61st birthday celebration.
According to the Forum, Bishop Eyoanwan has been a strong pillar of support and spiritual strength to her husband, Governor Prince Bassey Otu, with her passion for women, youth and children touching many lives across the state.

The Forum noted that as the mother of our beloved state, the First Lady, who clocked 61 on 10th April 2025. has continued to demonstrate remarkable love for humanity while positively impacting lives at the grassroot level.
In a statement signed by the Interim Chairman of CROSSJOF, Mrs Franscica Ogar, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, the Forum pleaded that she sustains the vision and ultimately work on improving the welfare of women, children and youth: across the state.
The CROSSJOF statement read thus; “As we join others in congratulating you, Her Excellency Bishop (Mrs) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the wife of Cross River State Governor, we pray that may the Lord increase, strengthen you as you marked your 61st birthday and give you the grace to continue doing the good work you have started in the state, touching the lives of the vulnerable and your medical outreach across the state
“We, therefore, urged you to work towards increasing the welfare of the women in the state.
“Congratulations on your birthday ma’am, We wish you many fruitful years ahead, and God’s blessings always”.
