Kano State APC Chairman Not Removed From Office – NWC
BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday declared that it did not sack the Chairman of its Kano State chapter, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa.
The APC National leadership however said that it is aware of issues in the Kano State chapter, adding that efforts are ongoing towards finding lasting solutions to the challenges.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said in view of the development, the status quo would be maintained until the ongoing process is completed.
Abdullahi therefore urged party members, stakeholders, leaders and members of the public to disregard the false reports.
Part of the statement reads; “The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to some media reports that the Chairman of the Kano State APC chapter, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa has been removed from office.
“We wish to state that in respect of Kano, no such decision has been taken by the NWC. Although, we are aware of issues in the Kano State chapter, efforts to find lasting solutions to the problem are ongoing. In view of this, the status quo is maintained until the ongoing process is completed.
