Ndoma-Egba Hails FG Over Calabar-Itu Road


The Chairman of the governing board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, on Friday commended the Federal Government’s determination to bring a new lease of life to the people of the Niger Delta, particularly those of the South-south extraction.
According to the Special Assistant on Communication to the NDDC chairman, Mrs Clara Braide, Ndoma-Egba gave the commendation while reacting to the recent approval of the N54 billion naira Calabar – Itu – Ikot Ekpene Highway reconstruction project by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
The head of the NDDC board stressed that when completed “it will greatly enhance the ease of doing business for the people of the region.”
He added that “The approval of the reconstruction work on the Calabar-Itu-Ikot Ekpene Highway by the government is highly commendable as fixing this very basic infrastructure will improve significantly, the living condition of our people.”
He also emphasized that “cynics have once again been proved wrong in the assertion that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is one-sided as the government is progressively making good on its campaign promises.”
