Mrs Buhari Visit Recuperating President In London
…Stops over at Addis Ababa
Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, who left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on Sunday, July 2, 2017, through Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital is expected to arrive London on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
Mrs. Buhari, who made a stopover at Addis Ababa to attend the meeting of Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA), was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Geoffrey Onyeama, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Bankole Adeoye and his wife as well as other Embassy, African Union and OAFLA officials.
She was accompanied by Mrs. Zainab Bagudu, Nkechi Okorocha, and Mairo Tanko Almakura; wives of the governors of Kebbi, Imo and Nasarawa states, respectively.
The wife of the President joined other members to celebrate the 15thanniversary of the organization, and use the opportunity to reiterate the voting rights of Nigeria in the upcoming elections of the organization.
Mrs Buhari, who is primarily going on a visit to her husband, who is on medical vacation in London, has assured that she will convey to the President the best wishes of Nigerians and their fervent prayers for his quick recovery.
