The President of the United States (US), Donald Trump has announced that the bombing of Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan being the three critical three nuclear facilities in Iran.

The US strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites took most people and nations by surprise to many even after the B2 Stealth bombers left Missouri with media reports that Trump was giving Iran a two-week deadline within which to reach an agreement on removing the nuclear threats.

President Trump in a stunning late-night announcement, described the bombing as a “very successful” military operation against the three critical nuclear facilities, adding that the action has obliterated the nuclear threat from Iran.

Trump, who spoke shortly after the strike, said that it was a direct riposte to a regime that had for 40 years made death to America, death to Israel its refrain.

This was as the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Trump and the United States, saying that the US has done what no other country could has done.

In his national address from the White House, Trump warned that Iran must make peace or face future attacks that will be “far greater.”

Trump described the US strikes on Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear sites in Iran a “spectacular military success”

The Iranian state media also reported that parts of the Fordo site was “attacked by enemy strikes”, but downplayed the extent of the damage.

The Iran state media also reported that the nuclear sites were evacuated before the US strikes.

However, the expectation of a decisive action emerged after President Trump, who usually spends his weekends outside of Washington returned on Saturday to the capital and went straight to the White House Situation room for a briefing.

FORDOW

The situated which was about 60 miles (96km) south of the capital Tehran, where the uranium enrichment site at Fordow is located is a mountainous region close to the city of Qom.

The underground facility is thought to consist of two main tunnels that house centrifuges used to enrich uranium, as well as a network of smaller tunnels.

However, before Sunday’s strike by the US, as announced by President Trump, Israel had been appealing to Washington for intervention as the US is the only military with the capability to hit it.

President Trump decaled victory, saying that all the US planes exited safely after launching full-scale bombing on Iranians nuclear sites.

In a statement, shared on truth social media, Trump said; “We have successfully completed our attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

“A full payload of bombs was dropped on the main site, Fordow. All planes are now safely out of Iranian airspace and heading home”.

This bold action represents a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between the U.S, and Iran with Fordow — a heavily fortified underground uranium enrichment facility — identified as the primary target of the operation.

President Trump commended the U.S. forces, saying; “Congratulations to our incredible American warriors. There’s no other military in the world that could have accomplished this. Now is the time for peace,” Trump concluded.

The full details of the strike and potential casualties are still unconfirmed by official Pentagon sources as Iranian response is anticipated in the coming hours.

International observers however cautioned that this could escalate into a broader regional crisis — or perhaps signal a risky attempt to reset diplomatic relations.
