Gov Udom, Malami, Ex-Minister Gbagi, Others Mourn Abba Kyari
Condolence messages continue to pour in for the Presidency over the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President, with Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State describing him as a “diligent and consummate professional” who understood the true meaning of loyalty.
The governor stated this while conveying his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Government and the good people of Akwa Ibom State, to President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of Mallam Kyari.
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, quoted Governor Emmanuel as noting that the late CoS served the President with a “deep sense of loyalty and patriot fervour.”
“He understood what loyalty was all about and worked hard to express and helped consolidate the defining layers of the President’s agenda. He will be sadly missed.
“Our condolences go to his family and the people of Borno State. May his soul rest in peace”, Governor Emmanuel said in the statement said.
Also in his condolence message, former Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, said Mallam Kyari’s demise is a big loss to Nigeria and the Buhari Presidency.
Gbagi commiserated with President Buhari, Abba Kyari’s family and members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), noting that the late Kyari leveraged on his vast experience in service to the country and humanity.
According to him; “The death of Mallam Abba Kyari came as a shock not only to me, but everyone who knew this fine gentleman as one with firm character.
Personally signing the condolence message, the former junior Minister said; “His passing at a time like this has dealt a severe blow to the nation and the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“He was a key player within the administration who was renowned for his unwavering commitment to the Nigerian project. Kyari was indeed a man of solid principles who demonstrated same by his staunch loyalty to the President and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
“He has left behind a vacuum that would be difficult to fill. I pray that Allah will comfort his family and grant his Soul Aljannah Firdaus,” he said.

The death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari is a monumental loss to the nation.
His death has no doubt deprived Nigeria, of his service loyalty, honesty, dedicated especially at this crucial time in the drive toward the total transformation of our country.
Since joining the administration as a member of the Federal Executive Council, I had very cordial working relationships with the late Abba Kyari and our discussions always focused on ways of moving Nigeria forward.
The late Chief of Staff to the President will be remembered as a fine and thorough breed administrator of international repute who gave his all to the nation and humanity.
While he was in the saddle, he demonstrated uncommon patriotic zeal and unwavering determination to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari’s vision for a new Nigeria was taken to a logical conclusion.
My heartfelt condolence goes to President Muhammadu Buhari with whom he had worked closely, the Kyari’s family and the nation in general.
I believe strongly that the death of Kyari particularly on Friday and in the period of epidemic have spiritual undertone that Almighty Allah will make Jannah his abode.
I pray to Almighty Allah for the repose of the soul of the departed patriot and the fortitude for the family to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Malami Mourns Kyari, Says Nigeria Misses A Patriot
The news of the death of late Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari flung us in deep pain and immutable agony.
Malam Abba Kyari was a paragon of virtue, patriotic citizen who rendered selfless service to Nigeria. As a dedicated individual with an unflinching commitment, his passion to nation-building was unwavering.
He was, indeed, loyalty personified. I express heartfelt condolences to the Presidency, the family of Late Malam Abba Kyari and the entire nation on this irreparable lost. The death is indeed a crumble of a giant pillar.
May the Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Amin.

AGF Condoles President Buhari
The Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, has condoled President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari.
In a letter of condolence to the President, Idris said he received the sad news of Alhaji Abba Kyari’s demise with great shock.
He noted that the late Chief of Staff to the President lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation by all, adding that his death was a monumental and irreparable loss to his family, the President and the whole country.
“Your Excellency, we should take consolation in the fact that death is inevitable and a path every human kind must pass through. We should be strengthened by the fact that the late Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari died a Martyr (as a result of the COVID -19 pandemic and on a Friday)”, he said.
Idris prayed Almighty Allah (SWA) to grant the soul of the departed Chief of Staff eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give the President and the deceased family the fortitude to bear the painful and irreparable loss.
