Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Abdullahi has declared that Nyesom Wike’s is unbefitting of someone holding a ministerial position in the Federal Republic.
Abdullahi, who stated this while responding to Wike’s recent remarks in which the FCT minister warned the Turaki-led PDP against opening a party bank account or establishing a headquarters in Abuja, said that a responsible public officer ought to know the time where he will draw the line, stressing that someone cannot be serving in an APC-led Federal Government and still want to dictate and control another party.

The former Deputy Spokesperson of the opposition party, noted that the Turaki-led PDP is not bothered by the uncouth comments of the FCT minister and has long refused to engage with him due to his disposition and recklessness in office.
Abdullahi, who spoke when he featured on Channels Television’s programme on Friday, stressed he has deliberately stopped mentioning Wike’s name owing to his public conduct and repeated fallouts with political allies over the years.
In the words of Abdullahi; “I don’t like calling his name; I have since refrained from doing so. There were times that I came even to this medium of yours, and I personally, then as Deputy National Publicity Secretary, supported him, spoke for him then, and believed in some of his arguments.
“I spoke for him at that time, agreed with the zoning formula of 2022 and some of the arguments that he maintained during the G5 struggle”.
Abdullahi then traced Wike’s pattern of conflict with nearly everyone who helped him rise politically and those he helped, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, former First Lady Patience Jonathan, Dr. Peter Odili, Ali Modu Sheriff, Prince Uche Secondus, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, and even current Rivers Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

In the words of Abdullahi; “Wike has consistently insulted and distanced himself from benefactors and allies alike, clearly showing he cannot be trusted”.
Commenting on the PDP leadership, Abdullahi said the Supreme Court nullified the Ibadan convention and Wike’s acting National Working Committee, thus leaving the Board of Trustees to install an interim leadership under Kabiru Tanimu Turaki in line with the party’s constitution.
